Men aged 18 and above are invited to the centre's open night on Monday, March 16.
Nelson Bay Masonic Centre membership officer Harry Horgan said wives and partners were welcome too.
"Because we all know the men aren't allowed to come if they [partners] don't know what's going on," he said.
The night would include a presentation about the activities of the group, including its vast fundraising efforts within the Port Stephens community, and insights into the roles of its officers.
Non-members would meet the centre's Worshipful Master, Kendall Smith.
Mr Horgan said the Freemason movement was about "making good men better".
He encouraged younger men in particular to join, who could carry on the Freemason traditions from older members.
The March 16 open night at 7.30pm would be the third the masonic centre has held.
Mr Horgan said the open nights were popular and had boosted its number up to about 55 members.
The group meets the third Monday of the month at the centre, in Sproule Street, Nelson Bay.
