Deckee.com, dubbed the 'TripAdvisor for boating', is the brainchild of Anna Bay entrepreneur and former Tomaree High student Mike McKiernan.
"The website is designed to help boat owners plan trips and make decisions involving the servicing, storage, and repair of their vessel, based on reviews and recommendations from the boating community," he said.
"Deckee covers over 2500 marine services and boasts detailed guides for over 20 harbours and waterways in Port Stephens and along the east coast, with new locations and businesses being added every week."
After working for several years in the boating industry, Mr McKiernan realised that no single website compiled up-to-date boating information that was easily accessible to the public.
"Every day I found myself offering advice and recommendations to local boat owners, not to mention those who were from out of town and didn't even know where to start.
"I soon realised that the boating community did not have a website where they could access specific knowledge whenever and wherever they needed it."
Deckee partnered with Nelson Bay's d'Albora Marinas for the official launch.
