A WOMAN will appear in a Taree court next month after police allegedly found more than $71,000 in the boot of a car she was driving through Nabiac last Friday.

The 38-year-old Greenacre woman is alleged to have been speeding along the
Pacific Highway at Nabiac shortly before 11.30pm on April 10.
She was stopped by highway patrol officers from the Manning-Great Lakes Local Area Command, who will allege the woman had been driving a Toyota Kluger about 128km/h in a 100km/h sign-posted area. The woman had four children in the car at the time.
Checks on the vehicle revealed its registration has been cancelled since December 2014.
During a search of the car, police allegedly found more than $71,000 inside a suitcase in the boot.
The woman was arrested and charged with goods in custody and granted conditional bail to appear before Taree Local Court on Tuesday, May 5.
