The morning tea, and annual fundraising event for the Cancer Council, is at Great Lakes Council’s administration building in Forster on Wednesday, May 27, from 10am.
‘‘We would love to see as many people as possible come along and support this great initiative and have a cuppa and a chat as well,’’ Great Lakes mayor Jan McWilliams said.
The cost is a gold coin donation and everyone is welcome.
There will be raffle tickets available to buy during the morning with prize winners drawn at 11am.
Cr McWilliams said prizes were donated from Great Lakes businesses, as was the food for the morning tea.
‘‘As usual the generosity of our local community has been amazing,’’ Cr McWilliams said.
It is estimated 110,000 new cases of cancer will be diagnosed in Australia this year.
All money raised from the Biggest Morning Tea will be donated to the Cancer Council to invest in research and support of those affected by the disease.
