In the moments before her death, a heavily pregnant woman grabbed a knife from the kitchen and brandished it towards her boyfriend, a key witness in the murder trial of Christopher Anderson told the court on Wednesday.

Louise Bodeker was one of the three women in the Maroubra apartment when her best friend, 23-year-old Allira Green, died from a single stab wound in the early hours of August 3, 2013.
Anderson has pleaded not guilty to murdering Ms Green, who was five months pregnant when she died.
Ms Bodeker told the court she and her two friends - Allira Green and Allira Holt - were sitting around a table "just talking" and getting ready to go to a nearby barbeque when Ms Green's boyfriend, Christopher Anderson, arrived at the premise and knocked on the door.
Although Anderson "seemed to be calm" her two friends "became very aggressive and told Anderson to "f--- off, get out."
Ms Green and Anderson had been "having a few hiccups in their relationship," she said.
She said Anderson refused to leave and "something ticked him off" prompting him to force his way into the unit, pushing the three women over with a single push.
Ms Bodeker said she "fell completely to the floor" and as she got up "Allira Green was already close to the knife."
"I just remember seeing her have the knife up in the air.
I heard her make a noise of 'ah, ah' That's when she took two steps backwards and fell straight on the floor."
But Ms Bodeker told the court she did not see Anderson stab her best friend because Allira Holt, who had rushed towards Ms Green in an attempt to stop her, had momentarily blocked her vision of the unfolding events.
"There was no way I could see exactly what happened," she said.
By the time Ms Green had falling to the floor dying, Anderson was "gone."
Under cross-examination by Anderson's barrister Charles Waterstreet, Ms Bodeker recalled seeing Ms Green with the knife "pointing towards him [Anderson]".
In the moments before death, Anderson had closed his hand around his girlfriend's knife-wielding hand, she said.
Ms Bodeker said she and Ms Green had been using drugs in the hours before her death, including a "very small quantity" of ice and about $10 worth of cannabis.
Crown prosecutor Virginia Lydiard characterised the pair's relationship between "dysfunctional and sometimes volatile" which had resulted in the police being called on two prior occasions.
But Mr Waterstreet has described Ms Green's death as an "unfortunate accident" and that his client had been trying to "rescue" his girlfriend and unborn child from her ice addiction.
The trial continues in the NSW Supreme Court on Thursday.
