Robert Charles, a defence public servant who as been bowling since the age of 10, has been a member at Salamander Superstrike for two years.
"This was his sixth 300, four of which were in practice, but this is the first in a league tournament," centre manager Heath George said.
"In the past when public servants could participate in defence bowling, Robert qualified number one for the Australian defence national tenpin team for three consecutive years.
"He also won a bronze medal at the Arafura games in Darwin in 2011."
Mr George said there had been 298 and 299 scores bowled in league tournaments at the centre, but Mr Charles had created history by being the first to bowl a rare 300 game.
