Ms Hickie said the 10-month-old ginger cat was surrendered by his owner due to having to move.
"His owner was moving to Queensland and couldn't take him with him," she said.
"He was devastated at having to do it.
"I'd like to find him [cat] a good home."
Ms Hickie said the cat, which has no name, is litter trained, fine with dry food only and not high maintenance.
"He's very playful and loving," Ms Hickie said.
"He's loves affection."
The cat, which has a short-hair coat, will cost $185 to adopt, which covers the cost of vaccinations, desexing, microchipping and a lifetime registration.
