In Raymond Terrace Local Court on August 18, Robert Thomas Stokes, 74, was convicted of wilful and obscene exposure in a public place and not complying with the conditions of a firearms licence.
He was arrested by Port police on June 17.
The arrest came after reports began making their way to police in March about a man acting suspiciously in a car near Wirreanda Public School.
About 9.05am on June 17 a teacher from the school spotted the car parked near a laneway between Tea Tree and Ferodale roads and walked towards it with the intention of speaking to its lone occupant.
The teacher caught the man without pants on and performing a sexual act.
By the time the teacher walked back to the school to phone police the car was gone.
It was found by police a short time later in Mount Hall Road, Raymond Terrace.
A search of the car found several boxes of ammunition in the glove box.
Stokes was granted strict conditional bail and appeared in court twice, before sentencing where he was placed on a 12-month good behaviour bond.
