Mark Wheatley, a soloist acoustic guitarist and singer from the Central Coast, will perform original and traditional Australian country music at the Karuah Motor Yacht Club on Friday from 7pm.
The Frets with Benefits duo, made up with the talents of Eve Boyle and Ben Pittman, will perform at Tilligerry RSL from 8pm on Friday.
After performing extensively in some of Newcastle’s best bands, Boyle and Pittman’s new acoustic venture offers a more intimate outlet for the two musicians to share their funky musical talents.
Also playing around the traps on Friday is Jackson Halliday at Soldiers Point Bowling Club, at 7.30pm, and the Rendezvous duo at Seabreeze Hotel from 8.30pm.
Catch Georgina Grinshaw, a new face to the Port music scene, at Catch Restaurant, Shoal Bay from 6.30pm on Saturday.
Grimshaw, from Newcastle, is an up and coming acoustic, folk singer-songwriter who takes inspiration from artists such as Missy Higgins, Gabrielle Aplin, Of Monster’s and Men, and Brooke Fraser.
Mike Horbacz will also perform in Shoal Bay on Saturday afternoon, from 4pm, in the Country Club Hotel courtyard. Uptown will take over in the hotel at 9pm.
Also set to perform on Saturday is Lennie Live at Tilligerry RSL from 6.30pm, The Gunswingers at Seabreeze Hotel from 8.30pm, and the V Dubbs at Anna Bay Tavern from 8pm for its unplugged rock show.
Married music duo Charlotte Rose and Paul Greig will perform at The Point Restaurant, at Soldiers Point Marina, on Valentines Day between 3pm and 6pm.
Chrissie Pearce will perform at Anna Bay Tavern from 3pm and songstress Kelly Hope will be in the courtyard of the Country Club Hotel from 1pm. Hope has enjoyed widespread success throughout the country music industry, both in Australia and overseas.
