This exhibition follows on from the highly successful ABC television series Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries and will feature costumes from the hit show.
Organisers say it is like stepping back in time to the 1920s.
“Whether you love fashion, beautiful clothes, glamour, adventure or just want a great day out this is an exhibition for you,” a spokesperson said.
“The extensive new exhibition is a chance to see many amazing and sumptuous costumes featured in the TV show that follows the adventures of glamorous independent detective Miss Phryne Fisher.
“You’ll be able to visit the murder room, Phyrne’s parlour, the tennis hall, the design room and many, many other areas.
“There is a range of remarkable interactive elements at the exhibition including dressing up, designing a costume and many more elements that directly involve visitors.”
The costumes have been generously made available by costume designer Marion Boyce and Every Cloud Productions.
Marion Boyce won best costume design at the prestigious AACTA Awards for her remarkable work on the movie The Dressmaker starring Kate Winslet.
Old Government House in Parramatta is Australia’s oldest surviving public building, dating back to 1799.
Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries is an Australian television drama series. It was first broadcast on ABC in 2012.
