Emily Griep had a day out in front of goal for the Marlins, bagging six goals in a superb individual performance.
The Marlins best players in a comprehensive performance were Griep, Priscilla Albers, Laney Hessels, Victoria McGee, Philippa Smyth and Jessie Jones.
This Saturday, the Marlins travel to Feighan Park to play the Warners Bay Bulldogs, with first bounce at 12.50pm.
In second division, the Marlins travelled to Muswellbrook to play the undefeated competition leaders.
The Marlins tried hard but were not match for the Cats, eventually going down by 109 points, with final scores being Muswellbrook 23.11.149 to Nelson Bay 6.4.40.
Nick Ridgeway was superb for Nelson Bay in kicking five goals. Chad Monaghan was the Marlins’ only other goalkicker.
Nelson Bay’s best players were Tom Wood, Ridgeway, Dan Morgan, Daniel Kendrick and Darren Parkes.

The Nelson Bay Black Diamond Cup team had the bye this week due to representative football being played in Wagga Wagga.
The Marlins also head to Warners Bay next Saturday, with first bounce scheduled for 2.40pm.
