The forum at Horizons Golf Resort will hear from community members like Eileen Donaldson who started a Facebook page in opposition to the sale.
“We want to create more community awareness around this sale,” she said.
“Ideally the state government will hear our concerns and stop the sale.”
The six hectare site forms part of a wildlife corridor between One Mile Beach and Salamander Bay.
Port Stephens MP Kate Washington said she had convened the meeting to send a loud and clear message to the state government.
“Our community is disgusted that the Baird government is selling off a portion of the Mambo Wetlands,” she said.
The forum starts 6pm.
