Anglers have a variety of options when it comes to fishing in the area – with a collection of beach, rock, estuary, offshore and freshwater fishing locations.
From kingfish, Australian salmon, luderick, snapper, bream, whiting, leatherjacket, flathead and mulloway, Port Stephens’ waters are a dream for keen fishermen and for those after a quiet morning or afternoon by a picturesque backdrop.
Variety can also be found in the many waterways and beaches prime for anglers. From the Tea Gardens, Hawks Nest, Karuah, Lemon Tree Passage, Soldiers Point, Nelson Bay, Shoal Bay, Broughton Island and Tomaree Head through to Anna Bay, there’s no shortage of superb fishing spots.
