Liberal candidate for Paterson Karen Howard announced the funds on Tuesday in a pitch to young voters and parents.

“This project will ensure that local young people have a safe place to skate and will encourage healthy and active lifestyles,” Ms Howard said.

“I’ve been working closely with the local community who have been fighting for this new skate park.

“There is such commitment from young people in this community to see this development realised.”

Ms Howard said investments like this would help grow a more vibrant and viable community.

“The Turnbull Liberal team is dedicated to building stronger communities across Australia,” she said.
