The event is being held in support of the Tomaree Breast Cancer Support Group.
It is organised by women who were supported by the group during their journey with breast cancer.
Last year’s event was a ball. This year the theme is the Oscars.
All money raised will go to the not-for-profit group to help fund its services such as driving patients to appointments in Newcastle, house cleaning, gardening, child minding and counselling.
The Oscars are being held at Nelson Bay Bowling Club on August 20 from 6.30pm.

The ticket cost includes a glass of bubbles on arrival, finger food, red carpet photo shoot, dancing and prizes.
