It's whale time with thousands of the massive mammals cruising northwards up their ocean highway. For me it is a more meaningful event, as years ago I was witness to the activities at the whaling station in Byron Bay where whales were harpooned and taken from the sea. Since then I have been watching this annual migration in awe of the power and peacefulness of these majestic creatures.
