This year the Christmas display includes more than two million lights. A six metre high Present Tree, Waterfall lights, North Pole scene, Fairy Garden, The Twelve Days Christmas, Cinderella’s Castle and her pumpkin carriage and a nativity scene will all be on display.
Hunter Valley Gardens marketing manager Katherine Danvers said the light display expanded every year – this year it took 88 days for the staff to set up.
“It’s an epic undertaking,” she said.
“This year we’ve added a Santa’s Workshop where kids can write to Santa, there’s Around the World which features displays from all over…. also the Fun Zone with an inflatable obstacle course, jumping castles and a video game arcade.”
The display will open on Friday night with a fireworks display.
