Fifty-two members set up shop late afternoon at Fly Point and enjoyed some fun and fellowship while waiting for Santa to put in an appearance.
Most dressed in Christmas finery for the occasion making it a very colourful affair. Santa came striding up the hill and was warmly greeted by this bunch of “big kids”. Gifts were distributed to all present with much kissing and hugging of Santa; even the men were lining up. Santa was assisted by President Ron and elves Robyn and Marg.
He is a busy man this month so he was given a cheer as he disappeared with a ‘ho, ho, ho’. This club has lots of fun activities and will be holding its popular (and more grown up) Christmas Luncheon at Soldiers Point Bowling Club soon. The next meeting is 9.30am on Thursday, December 8 at Nelson Bay Bowling Club and you would be very welcome to come along.
