The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast a very high (95 per cent) chance of showers this evening with the chance of a thunderstorm.
“We’ve cancelled it as a safety measure,” Sacred Tree owner-operator Ganga Ma said.
“We’ve had a fantastic summer at Nelson Bay, the crowds have been really good. We’ve even had an inquiry from Hong Kong about our market schedule so they could time their holiday to be here.
“We’ll be back next week for our final market for January so we’re hoping to go out with a bang.”
From February the markets will return to the monthly schedule.
