The bowls club, a sub-club of Wests Nelson Bay Diggers, was the successful recipient of a $1470 Anzac grant, which will be used to fund an excursion to the Australian National Maritime Museum.
This money will allow about 30 bowls club members to take a bus trip to Sydney on May 26 to tour the museum.
In the April 20 edition of the Examiner it was reported that Wests Nelson Bay Diggers was the recipient of this money.
This information was provided to the Examiner by the NSW Government.
A total of $50,000 was divided between 49 recipients for projects that commemorate the Anzacs.

A total of $50,000 was divided between 49 recipients for projects that commemorate the Anzacs. Among the recipients was the Diggers club, which received $1470. The money will be used to fund an excursion to the Australian National Maritime Museum in Sydney.
The grants were awarded to schools, community groups, museums, historical societies and other associations to help deliver projects that commemorate WWI veterans.
“These grants valued at anywhere from a couple of hundred dollars to $2000,” Parliamentary Secretary for the Hunter, Scot MacDonald, said.
