Children were given a hands-on fire-fighting experiences and activity packs with fire safety messages while adults were able to chat with firefighters, check out their equipment and see demonstrations.
An estimated 400 people visited the Raymond Terrace station on Saturday.
“We hope you all took away some fire safety messages and thank the many of you who asked lots of really great questions,” the station posted on its Facebook page.
“We really enjoyed seeing the big smiles on all of the kids faces.”
The station thanked Raymond Terrace MarketPlace Woolworths who donated the sausages for its barbecue.
