Available online or as a paper copy from Raymond Terrace and Tomaree libraries, allows people to rate the council across its many responsibilities.
The survey will also help guide the council in the provision of those various services.
"We aim to provide as many opportunities as possible for people to give us their feedback and the upcoming 2017 Community Satisfaction Survey is just one of them,” the council’s general manager Wayne Wallis said.
"This annual survey is a great chance to comment on how you think we're doing, however, we are also listening to you every day.
“With every email, phone call, letter, face-to-face meeting or group consultation with a Council officer, [residents are] talking with a real person, someone who is as passionate about Port Stephens as [they] are and who wants what's best for its community.”
The Community Satisfaction Survey is open until May 31 and there are a number of ways to get involved.
People can go online to surveymonkey.com/r/PSCGEN2017; collect a paper copy of the survey from either the Raymond Terrace or Tomaree libraries, or the council's administration counter; alternatively contact customer Service on 4980 0255 and request a paper copy of the survey form and reply-paid envelope.
"I want to thank everyone in advance for their participation in this survey, and I'm excited to continue to work together on the Port Stephens of tomorrow,” Mr Wallis said.
