Snow Time in the Garden kicked off on the weekend, transforming the Pokolbin attraction into a winter wonderland until July 16.
The event included ice skating, rides, a snow play zone, ice toboggan, jumping castle and obstacle course, super slide, arcade alley and live ice-sculpting.
Hunter Valley Gardens marketing manager Katherine Danvers said great reviews came out of the opening weekend.
She said the event was a great way for families to experience real snow without having to travel down to the snow fields. Ms Danvers said the snow play zone was by far the most popular attraction, where people could throw snow balls and make their own snowmen.
Ms Danvers said the event was a great way to draw families to the Hunter Valley, rather than those just keen on wine.
“You can taste great wine and stay at a nice place, but you can bring your kids too,” she said.
