The car club has held its display day on Newcastle’s foreshore for the past nine years.
But the club’s promotions officer, Tom Jones, said they were “forced off the foreshore” this year due to the council work that will turn the area where the cars are usually displayed into a pit stop.
“I doubt we’ll ever be able to go back now,” Mr Jones said.
“We might need to find a new home. Possibly that home will be Raymond Terrace.”
About 300 British cars take part in the annual display day on Newcastle’s foreshore.
Mr Jones said Newcastle City Council directed them to Carrington when told they were unable to display on the foreshore.
“Fitting that many cars into Carrington… it just couldn’t work out in such a short amount of time.”
The club had formed a relationship with Port Stephens Council through the organisation of the 2-17 Jaguar Rally, held in the Bay earlier this year.
The Council allowed the club to host its display day in Riverside Park.
The All British Display Day will be open to the public from 10am on Saturday.
About 200 British cars of all makes, models and years – from the ultra modern to classics, Rolls Royce, Minis, Lotus, Triumph – are expected to take part in the car display, which is free for the public to see.
