The foundation’s annual dinner will be held in the newly rebuilt clubhouse on Saturday, August 5.
A golf classic follows on Sunday, August 6.
“This will be the first Men of League function in the brand-new clubhouse at Nelson Bay Golf Club and we’re expecting it to be very popular,” Ben Ross, MOL NSW state manager, said.
Rugby league teams, fans, past and present players are invited to the dinner and golf classic, which has been organised by the new Port Stephens MOL committee.
The weekend starts with a dinner from 6pm.
David “Cement” Gillespie, a former Bulldog, Sea Eagle, state and Australian rugby league player, will guest speak at the dinner.
The golf classic will tee off on at 9am on Sunday.
Players compete for the Ross Gigg Memorial Shield.
Dinner costs $50 per person and golf $90 per person.
