The rugby league team advanced to the grand-final after winning their round robin carnival six weeks ago.
The team has some terrific talent and proved too strong on the day, running out emphatic winners 26-8 with proud coaches Trevor Ryan and Craig Read very happy with the result.
Craig’s two boys in the team, Cooper and Harrison plus front rower Jarred Williams scored two tries each . Williams was the players’ player.
Hooker Nate Elkin-McDonald was a tackling machine while Aiden Coward, Brad Heggie and Xavier Stewart all had strong games.
The team travel to Sydney for the All Schools carnival in coming weeks.
Fingal Bay Rugby League Club continued on their winning way on Saturday, defeating West Wallsend 34-24.
In a replay of last year’s grand-final, the Bomboras had to come from behind after the Magpies grabbed the lead midway through the second half.
The Bomboras looked in control early and had a handy 16-6 lead at the break after half back Isaac Upton scored a 45 metre solo try in the final minutes.
On resumption West Wallsend had a glut of possession on the back of several defensive lapses.
Fingal struggled to contain the big Magpie forward pack. However, tough second rower Ben Schneider crashed over close to the post to regain the lead.
Flying fullback Denam Glasson brought the large crowd to their feet with a brilliant 80 metre try to seal the match.
The worthy players’ player was blockbusting centre Jake Redman who scored three tries with some clever try assists from Isaac Upton while Cameron Scully and Adam Hodson worked hard in the middle.

Mallabula Rugby League Club’s chase for a semi-final spot hit a hurdle on Saturday.
After a solid start the Panthers gifted Cardiff too much ball in the second half to go down 32-30.
Mallabulla led 18-12 at half time and looked in control. However, as a team they lost their way, with simple errors compounding their problems.
Coach Terry Martin was disappointed that the team has yet to realise their potential.
A tough road trip to Dora Creek is on the cards this weekend in a must win game for Bulla boys.
