The Tilligerry ALP Branch will host the forum at the Tilligerry Habitat on August 14 and will be open to all mayoral and central ward candidates regardless of political affiliation.
“We’re facing a new era for Port Stephens Council but a lot of the candidates are unknown,” Tilligerry charter president Bay Marshall said.
“It’s important to have all the information before us as residents so we can have an informed vote.”
The forum, which will include a Q&A session, will start 7pm.
All central ward residents are welcome to attend.
Mr Marshall expected the Tilligerry ALP Branch to gain the final approval from the state electoral conference as a matter of process.
