Applications for the foundation’s grants program will close on Monday, October 16.
“We invite all charity organisations in Port Stephens seeking support for projects that address important community issues to apply for a grant from the foundation, which is one of the largest in regional NSW,” Graham Batten, the foundation’s executive officer, said.
“Our mission is to give back to our local communities by supporting projects that have a profound impact on the lives of people in need.”
Since it was established in 2003, the foundation has donated more than $7.8 million to 233 community-focused initiatives across the Hunter including to Port Stephens SES, PCYC Port Stephens and Riding for the Disabled Raymond Terrace.
Twice a year the foundation distributes about $800,000 to not-for-profit organisations throughout the Hunter, Mid North Coast, Central West, Central Coast, Northern Rivers and New England regions.
