TheExaminer has switched on a new-look website.

Visitors to the Examiner’s website may have noticed late on Tuesday morning that the layout on portstephensexaminer.com.au appeared different.

Purpose-built to provide a regular “feed” with local news, sport, community information and opinion, the new-look site is optimised for viewing on any device – be it on smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop.

The sleek, uncluttered design means it is easier to navigate.

The site also gives advertisers new opportunities to reach a growing online audience.

Newcastle/Hunter group managing editor Chad Watson said the revamped site would continue to provide readers with stories from their communities.

“We’ve changed the way we present and publish news for our growing digital audience but our commitment to providing your favourite local reading isn’t changing, including coverage of important community issues and events,” he said.
