Poolman, a defender with the Sydney-based Giants that compete in Australia’s premier netball league, will run a three week program focused skill development, attack and defending.

The sessions are part of Poolman’s own Aspire netball development program.

Poolman, from Newcastle, said she is passionate about where she started her career and wishes to develop the region’s players.

“It is an opportunity for players to improve and be educated on all aspects that are involved in reaching their full potential,” Poolman said.

The program is only open to Nelson Bay Netball Association players aged between 11 and 13.

One hour sessions will be run at the Nelson Bay netball courts on November 3, 17 and 24.

One each of the three days, the combined 10 to 11 years age group session will run 4.30pm to 5.30pm, the 12 years only group 5.30pm to 6.30pm and 13 years 6.30pm to 7.30pm.

The cost for the three week program is $70.

Participants will receive an Aspire development singlet and a Greater Bank sports pack.

Poolman, typically a goal defence or keeper, played in Australia’s 2017 Fast5 Team and also took out the Giants Netball members’ player of the year this year. She previously played for the Adelaide Thunderbirds.
