Lining the walls of the gardens’ information centre throughout November will be a collection of new works by Ms Humphreys as well as some from her personal and private collection.
“I’m known as a wild flower painter but I’ll be showing things you don’t normally see from me like a picture of my great-great-grandmother, a large pastel of a sheep sheering shed, possums,” she said.
“There’s a wide variety. They come from my home, or from friends and family that I’ve painted works for over the years. I’ve borrowed a few things I’ve painted for them over the years.
“This will be a chance for people to see the other things that I paint.”
Ms Humphreys has been invited to exhibit her works at the Gardens for the past three years.
The artist said she enjoyed doing so as it is a “nice, relaxing atmosphere” that suited her works, which are largely paintings of wildflowers and birds.
Ms Humphreys’ new works painted for the exhibition will be for sale.
The exhibition items from her personal collection will not be for sale.
It will be the second time in the past three months Ms Humphreys exhibits her works. They were on show for the first time at Raymond Terrace Library in September.
