The money was raised during the club's Giant One Day Book Sale held at Hawks Nest Community Hall earlier this month.
Twice a year the Rotary Club hosts a book sale using old library stock and donated books with all money made put straight back into the community.
The relationship between Tea Gardens Library and the Rotary Club began four years ago when the library service approached the club about helping to recycle old stock.
"We complement each other really well," Tea Gardens library officer Carol Johnson said.
"It keeps up our stock levels and keeps us fresh and up to date."
Manager of the Great Lakes Library Service, Chris Jones, said the new titles bought with the $1000 donation would be shaped on the broad needs of community.
"There is likely to be fiction, non-fiction and kids' books," he said.
Rotary's next book sale will be at Easter.
