The Reverend Kesh Govan and Aussie Santa, who on his off days is known as Denis Hamel, toured the grounds, which from 2pm on December 6 will be filled with market stalls, food, children's activities and bowling alleys for the adults.
Aussie Santa will turn up on his motorbike about 2.30pm, wearing thongs, shorts and a corked hat and carrying a surfboard.
He will sit for photos and hand out gifts to children.
Co-ordinator Maggie Dominey said the event was for all people within the community, Christian or not, to head along to and have some fun.
"Jesus asks us to be all things to all people," Ms Dominey said.
"That is why it is important for us to go into the community and welcome people."
Students from Shoal Bay, Tomaree and Bobs Farm public schools plus from St Philip's Christian College will put on a free concert during the fair.
The concert will be a competition with the winning school to receive prize money from the church.
The community Christmas fair will include car boot sites, barbecue, trash and treasure, homemade cakes and slices, potted plants, craft and face painting.
