Domenica Fedele and her business partner, Peter Toth, owners of retail and wholesale food business, scored 13 “fancy pasta” medals at the prestigious 2016 Sydney Royal Fine Food Show awards last month.
That’s on top of the 72 medals they have previously won for their fine Italian pasta since the business began in 2009.
This time around it was a recipe close to their hearts that won ‘best in show’. The veal osso bucco ragu, pecorino and fresh herb ravioli, is a tribute to Domenica’s late father.
“These awards are very special to me because I have dedicated our osso bucco pasta to my papa in memory of the great pasta lunches he used to make for us at Sunday lunches when we were kids,” said Domenica.
“We have kept alive his recipe for the dish and I’m so heartened it is still bringing pleasure to so many people, not just me.”
