LiteracyPlanet Legends invites parents and teachers to nominate a child or student across three categories – community, academic and sport.
“We know that kids are more engaged in learning and learn better when they’re having fun, and there are synergies between positive emotions, physical activity and learning,” LiteracyPlanet CEO Adam McArthur said.
“Every child has their ‘legend’ moments. LiteracyPlanet Legends is about celebrating kids having fun and doing something positive, whatever their interests are, in or outside of the classroom, big or small.”
“We are looking to find those kids who have passion and a positive outlook. These kids are making a difference.”
Busy parents and grown-up ‘legends’ on board are TV legend and LiteracyPlanet ambassador Georgie Gardner, and sporting legends Shane Crawford and Liz Ellis.
Every child nominated gets a LiteracyPlanet Legends pack, and the winner of each category will win $10,000 in technology and sport supplies for their school, plus a special school visit from one of the grown-up legends in Term 2.
Parents and teachers can nominate kids at www.literacyplanet.com/legends.
Nominations close Friday, March 24, 2017.
