Until the end of September, Greencross Vets Tanilba Bay will be providing $20 off desexing procedures, plus an additional 10 per cent off if you’re a Healthy Pets Plus member, so there’s never been a better time to get your pet desexed.
“The procedure has been shown to provide pets with significant health and behavioural benefits and in fact, desexed pets often have a longer and healthier life,” Greencross Vets Tanilba Bay veterinarian Dr Nicole Geyer advises.
Motto Farm Vet Hospital, which has been providing caring and quality veterinary services to Port Stephens since 1993, is also offering discounted pet desexing through July.
On the Pacific Highway, Heatherbrae, on the corner of Motto Lane, Motto Farm Vet Hospital is easily accessible from Raymond Terrace and surrounding areas.
More than 38,000 animals are presented to RSPCA NSW every year and the vast majority of dogs and cats have not been desexed, leading to unwanted pregnancies and placing more pressure on local animal shelters.
Desexed pets are less likely to get lost, injured and wind up in a shelter.
The correct age for desexing can vary depending on your pet’s breed, size and lifestyle.
