Once you've done all your Christmas shopping and found the perfect gifts for your friends, family members and loved ones, there is one thing left to do before you hand over the presents on Christmas Day.
You need to wrap them.
The way you wrap your gift can make the difference between your present looking ordinary or magical.
Even a small gift can seem grand when it is packaged beautifully.
You don’t need to spend a lot of money to make your wrapping look great but it will take a bit of careful planning and thought. The bonus of nicely wrapped gifts is that they look spectacular while they are sitting under your Christmas tree.
If you have a colour scheme for your Christmas decor in your house or on your tree then consider incorporating the same colours in your gift-wrapping.
Choosing a bold colour with a metallic for example blue and silver or purple and gold can look really effective or you may like to use Christmas colours such as red and green. The winter wonderland theme colours of white, silver and light blue or red are also popular. You should stick with two or three colours and use ribbons, decorations and gift tags that all match.
For a more natural look you could use brown paper, this serves as the perfect backdrop to add creative stamping, stencilling or stickers and looks great with a coloured or natural raffia tie.
For something personal and memorable make a collage of photos from throughout the year and print it onto plain white paper.
This is sure to put a smile on the gift recipients face as they spend just as long looking at the paper as they do admiring the gift inside.
You may want to print off a few spare sheets as grandparents will be reluctant to open the gift in case they rip the paper!
If you have children, another personalised gift wrap idea is to use their paintings and drawings.
The most difficult part of gift wrapping is when you come to awkward shaped gifts, the best thing for these is to buy a gift box or a cardboard box or use an old shoe box to put them in.
You can then go on to wrap them and get a nice clean finish.
