Around 8.15pm on Tuesday the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked to the Port Stephens area.
The patient, a 16-year-old female suffered suspected spinal injury from a gymnastics accident.
The patient was treated by paramedics and the helicopter's medical team at the scene before being flown to Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney.
No other details are available at this stage.
