More than 130 teams played 400 games of touch at Tomaree Sports Complex on February 3 and 4.
The weekend also saw 160 referees hit the field, with many supporters watching and cheering from the sidelines.
The weather put on a show. But heat and intermittent rain did not deter the high quality of games that were played.
Hosts of the regional junior touch football tournament, Nelson Bay Touch Association, fielded 10 teams. Of those teams, three were grand finalists and two came out regional champions.
Special mention went to Andi Law, the players’ player for 16G, and Emily Harman, players’ player for 18G.
Club Champions
1st – Doyalson Dragons (90pts)
2nd - Central Coast Dolphins (85pts)
Equal 3rd - Peninsula TA, Nelson Bay TA and Orange TA (80pts each)
