A man was expected to appear in court on Tuesday after being charged with several offences by police at Raymond Terrace on Monday afternoon.

About 4.15pm on Monday, March 12, police from Port Stephens Hunter Police District located a 31-year-old man in a garage in Emu Street at Raymond Terrace.
The man was arrested without incident and taken to Raymond Terrace Police Station.
He was later charged with two counts supply prohibited drug (large commercial quantity), two counts deal with the proceeds of crime, handle explosive/precursor without licence, and an outstanding warrant.
The man was refused bail to appear at Raymond Terrace Local Court on Tuesday, March 13.
In late 2017 and early 2018 police attached to the Port Stephens Hunter Police District commenced inquiries into the supply of the drug ‘ice’ across the area under Strike Force Twomey.
As part of the investigation a man was arrested in Queensland and extradited to NSW on Thursday, February 18. That man remains before the courts.
Inquiries by Strike Force Twomey continue and police urge anyone with information about the manufacture, distribution or sale of illicit drugs to come forward.
