“Customers always ask if we ever get bogged in the sand,” business spokesperson Ana Zabaleta said. “And the answer is yes!

“We try to keep to one track to avoid it but sometimes it just happens. Occasionally passengers have been recruited to help dig and push. It’s all part of the adventure and usually results in a lot of laughing.”

Sand Dune Safaris is open every day during school holidays including Christmas Day and public holidays.

“We’re open from 9.30am until late, with the last shuttle usually leaving around 5pm to 5.30pm.

“It’s best to ring to find out as it is so weather dependent,” says Ana.
