A cyclist has died following a car crash in Shoal Bay.

Emergency services were called to Gowrie Avenue, near the intersection of Shoal Bay Road, about 3.25pm on Thursday to find a man who had been riding a bike critically injured.
Paramedics treated the man, believed to have been aged in his 70s. However, police said he died a short time later at hospital.
The driver of the Toyota Camry, a man from Sydney, has been taken to Tomaree Community Hospital for mandatory testing.
Traffic was still being diverted from the scene at 6pm.
