Tomaree Peninsula Early Childhood Network will host a free transition to school expo next week to help parents navigate the leap from daycare to ‘big school’.

To help parents negotiate the sometimes confusing maze that is entry to the school system, the network brings together primary schools, early childhood services and other interested organisations and personnel for an expo.
The expo will be held at Soldiers Point Bowling Club on Thursday, May 24 starting at 6.30pm.
Last year the network received a council grant which has enabled it to put together an information kit for families about transition to school.
“We encourage all families to come along to listen to our guest speaker, meet representatives from our local primary schools, and other local services and supports,” the network’s Jacqueline B Orwell said.
