The registered charity supports victims of domestic violence with practical assistance. Money was raised through the golf day at Horizons.
Although the weather was cold, blustery and wet, the golfers played a full nine holes before heading indoors for a delicious lunch.
A presentation showcasing the range of activities undertaken by FWD was given.
These include making sanctuaries into homes with donations of furniture, new appliances, kitchenware, beds and bedding.
FWD also supports children in the back to school months by supplying backpacks, books, pencils and lunchboxes.
This was well received by the audience who were generous with their purchases of raffle tickets.
Lunch was followed by some fun musical entertainment by the Tomaree Ukestra.
