Disney On Ice celebrates 100 Years of Magic will see Mickey Mouse as the mous-ter of ceremonies (emcee) once again.
He will lead an all-star cast including Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy and an ensemble of Disney Princesses during the Disney on Ice show at Newcastle Entertainment Centre running between July 13 and 15.
Children and adults alike will be dazzled by the magic of Disney’s Frozen with Anna, Elsa and the hilarious Olaf.
There will be exciting moments from Disney Pixar’s Toy Story characters, Finding Nemo, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin.
There will be sing-a-longs to well-known Disney songs such as Let It Go (Frozen), You’ve Got a Friend in Me (Toy Story) and Hakuna Matata (The Lion King).
Audiences are encouraged to arrive at the show on time to help everyone’s favourite Zootopia pals, Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, investigate an off-ice caper to ensure Disney On Ice celebrates 100 Years of Magic starts without a hitch.
100 Years of Magic was one of the first Disney on Ice shows, first opened in 1999.
During the years, characters from older Disney stories have been switched out for newer ones.
There were overhauls to the show in 2005, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2012, and 2015 where characters from Finding Nemo, Lilo and Stitch and The Incredibles were featured.
As of 2015, Daisy Duck, Chip and Dale, Stitch, Pocahontas, John Smith and The Incredibles have been omitted and The Princess and the Frog, Tangled and Frozen added to the show.
Now, in the latest edition of the Disney on Ice show, characters from Zootopia have been added.
