Police are seeking the identity of a driver who failed to stop after hitting a cyclist at Seaham last weekend.

The male cyclist, aged 18, remains in John Hunter Hospital in a critical condition after he was hit by a 4WD while riding with two friends along Cross Street early on Saturday, June 16.
Police said the trio of cyclists were riding down Cross Street in Seaham, north of Raymond Terrace, about 1am.
Near the intersection of Clarence Town Road, the 18 year old was hit from behind by the driver of a dark-coloured 4WD which failed to stop.
The rider was taken to Maitland Hospital with serious head injuries.
He was taken John Hunter Hospital the following day for emergency surgery, where he remains in a critical condition.
Officers from Port Stephens Hunter Police District are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
