The airport urged passengers to check the status of their flight with the airline as thick fog was affecting flights in and out of the Williamtown-based airport.
While the fog was expected to lift by the afternoon, Port residents should not get used to clear skies.
The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast fog and cloudy days for the weekend. The good news is, however, that it is not expected to rain.
For the Port on Saturday, residents can expect frost and fog in the morning and light west to northwesterly of about 15 to 20km/h around noon and early afternoon. The BOM has forecast a sunny afternoon for Saturday.
In the Bay, the daytime temperature is predicted to top at 17 degrees while in the Terrace, 16 degrees.
Overnight, the temperature is expected to dip to between 9 and 10 degrees.
Sunday is expected to be partly cloudy with fog and frost in the morning, and light winds. There is a medium chance of it showering in the evening.
The temperature is predicted to top 15 degrees for on Sunday, and fall to between 9 and 10 degrees overnight.
Showers are predicted to resume on Monday.
