A multi-disciplined approach involving doctors, osteopaths, physiotherapists and psychologists, among others, is strongly advocated as the best way to effectively manage pain.
Yong Cao has over 25 years experience as a pharmacist and has seen first hand the effects that chronic pain can have on clients. Originally from New Zealand, Yong moved to Sydney in 2000 and purchased a pharmacy in Coonamble before expanding to Cobar and the South Coast.
He has recently purchased Wanda Beach Pharmacy form long term owner, Sandra Harrison, and said that he was looking forward to not only getting to know the locals but also to helping support and educate his customers.
“I love this area very much, the environment along with the people here are amazing. Taking over at Wanda Beach is a great opportunity and I am lucky that I get to take on a successful business in an area that is full of friendly, smiling faces,” he said.

“Sandra has been amazing for her customers for over 30 years. She has a great reputation and standing within the community which she thoroughly deserves. She is still helping out at the pharmacy currently, and we will continue to have the same friendly and knowledgeable team within the store”.
Yong said that given the area’s older population, health improvement and pain management is something that he is more than ready to assist people with. “Sandra has done a great job looking after locals, especially retirees and the elderly, which is a big client base here. We will continue that professional and individual service with close consultations and free delivery,” he said.
Technology is pharmacy’s is rapidly improving, as are medicines and treatment methods, and Yong said that will also be an area that they focus on moving forward. “We are always trying to be better and come up with better solutions for out clients and the general public,” he said. Yong also invited local pharmacists to join him in providing great service and support for locals and the wider community.
