Tomaree Library will be closed for three weeks while a much needed refurbishment takes place.
The Salamander Bay-based library will be repainted and recarpeted, new children’s area shelving installed, a relaxing reading area created in the main library, and a remodelled service desk installed.
The library will closed at noon on Saturday, August 25 and reopen at 9am on Monday, September 17.
During that time, all items on loan will be due on or after September 17.
Returns will not be accepted during the closure period.
The after-hours return chute will be unavailable for use.
Limited library services will be available on Wednesdays.
The mobile library will visit the library carpark on Wednesday, August 29 and Wednesday, September 5 between 9.30am and 10.30am.
On Wednesday, September 12 reservations can be collected from outside the library between 10am and noon. Free coffee and tea will be available.
