The Tomaree Over Fifties Fitness Club is searching for a new trainer.

Trainers guide club members, also known as TOFFS, in twice weekly 8am classes either at Nelson Bay PCYC or Soldiers Point Bowling Club.

Registered and specialised fitness instructors lead the hour-long classes that include weights, aerobics and floor work, all done to music.

“Happy and enthusiastic members frequently burst into song while exercising,” the group’s Lesley Mackintosh said.

“Men and women enjoy the classes but also frequent TOFFS social activities.

“The group is very active outside of TOFFS also which all stems from the classes keeping everybody fit, healthy and enjoying life.

Applicants will need to have a minimum Certificate III Fitness and First Aid qualification to be considered.

Additionally, applicants must have experience working with older adults and be willing to show current insurance certificate and Working With Children’s Check.

To apply, contact president Jim Brophy on 0429 447 798.

The TOFFS just celebrated the club’s 31st birthday.
